Madrigal '75 vocal ensemble in concert at St Colman's Cathedral, Cobh, Sunday 17th May, 5:30pm

- *Please note the revised concert start time! The concert will begin at 5:30pm. NOT 3:30pm, as previously advertised) -

Before adjourning for the summer break, the Cork-based vocal ensemble Madrigal'75 warmly invites you to join us for one more concert in the Cathedral Church of St. Colman, Cobh on Sunday, May 17, 2026.

Our wide-ranging programme, When Music Sounds includes Norbert Palej's charming work of Walt Whitman's poem, the Voice of the Rain. We will also sing the epic 7-partwork, Vox in Rama, set by 16th-century Portuguese composer, Bernardino de Ribera, as well as some choral classics such as Eric Whitacre's ever popular piece, Sleep, and a quirky setting by Bernat Vivancos called Bubbles... A truly varied, and most satisfying programme to perform, we would be delighted to share it with you!

The concert starts at 5:30pm (updated start time!) and will last approximately 45 minutes.

Admission is free, with a retiring collection in support of the Cathedral Restoration Project. We would love to see you there to hear us sing some sublime choral music in the stunning acoustic of St. Colman's Cathedral. Even better, bring along a friend too - nothing beats a shared enjoyment!
